Job summary

Clear-Engineering-Recruitment is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer in Houston, TX to drive supplier quality across a global base. The role emphasizes audits, CAPA, and collaboration with engineering, procurement, and operations.

You will ensure materials and components meet strict engineering and regulatory standards while supporting Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives. A strong background in turbomachinery or rotating equipment is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3-7 years’ experience in quality or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with supplier qualification (machining, casting, welding, etc.).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 and core quality tools (8D, FMEA, SPC).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in turbomachinery or rotating equipment, Lean / Six Sigma certification, ERP or digital quality systems exposure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and qualification activities
• Monitor supplier performance and manage KPIs
• Lead root cause analysis and drive CAPA
• Manage supplier-related nonconformances and containment actions
• Analyse quality data to identify risks and improvement opportunities
