Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead and support supplier quality planning and development activities for our manufacturing projects in Wisconsin. The role requires hands-on experience with FMEA, SPC, and root cause analyses while coordinating with cross-functional teams to drive improvements.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, 2+ years in a design/manufacturing environment, and familiarity with SAP-PAG and SAP-PDM.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support supplier quality planning for projects and production programs.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams focused on quality development activities, including DPARs, FMEA, Control Plans, Design Reviews, Supplier Audits, Risk Assessments and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve supplier quality concerns related to new product launches and ongoing production.
  • Drive 8D-based corrective actions to address supplier quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure effective execution of RGAs, SCRs, Quality Plans and Supplier Improvement Initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high-quality standards and continuous improvement efforts.

Job description

Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support quality planning activities for supplier-related projects and production programs.
  • Facilitate and participate in cross-functional teams focused on quality development activities, including: Design Process and Product Reviews (DPARs), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans, Design Reviews, Supplier Audits, Risk Assessments and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve supplier quality concerns related to new product launches and ongoing production.
  • Drive corrective action processes using the 8D methodology to address supplier quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure effective execution of: Return Goods Authorizations (RGAs), Supplier Change Requests (SCRs), Quality Plans and Supplier Improvement Initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high-quality standards and continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, supply management, or a related field within a design or manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with quality tools and methodologies, including: FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), NCCA (Non-Conformance Corrective Action), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Root Cause Analysis and Six Sigma
  • Experience utilizing data collection, statistical analysis, and problem-solving techniques to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, product models, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong ability to manage priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience applying quality engineering tools such as Supplier Audits, DPARs, and Design Reviews.
  • Knowledge of SAP-PAG and SAP-PDM systems.
  • Experience conducting audits, including Process Verification Audits, Special Process Audits, and similar quality assessments.
  • Experience with riding lawn equipment, utility vehicle, or related manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
