PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Supplier Manufacturing Engineer for a 12-month contract. You will bridge engineering, procurement, program management, and external suppliers to ensure tooling and components meet stringent aerospace requirements.

You will define work statements, monitor supplier performance, and coordinate inspections while driving continuous improvement. A strong manufacturing background and GD&T proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace or related engineering discipline.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and with GD&T.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with program management, engineering, procurement, supplier management and quality teams to ensure supplier deliverables meet technical and contractual requirements.
• Define statements of work and communicate manufacturing expectations and quality standards.
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic assessments for compliance and capability.
• Investigate non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate inspections and review data packages/CoCs prior to shipment.

Your expertise will help ensure tooling and manufacturing partners meet stringent aerospace requirements while driving quality, efficiency, and performance throughout the supply chain.Your work will directly support the successful fabrication and delivery of critical tooling and components that help bring advanced aerospace systems to life.What You'll DoIn this role, you will:Partner with program management, engineering, procurement, supplier management, and quality teams to ensure supplier deliverables meet all technical and contractual requirements.Define supplier statements of work and communicate contract requirements, manufacturing expectations, and quality standards.Support the maintenance and evaluation of approved tooling suppliers.Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic assessments to ensure ongoing compliance and capability.Manage supplier waiver requests, deviations, discrepancy reports, and corrective action processes.Investigate supplier non-conformances and negative performance trends.Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve supplier performance.Coordinate source inspections and collaborate with customers as required.Review End Item Data Packages and manufacturing Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) prior to shipment.Utilize supplier performance databases and quality management systems to evaluate supplier capabilities and performance metrics.Work directly with sub-tier suppliers to manage tooling fabrication activities and ensure successful project execution.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.Experience working in a manufacturing environment.Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Strong technical documentation and technical writing skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.Experience working with 3D CAD software and engineering models.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced degree in an engineering-related field.Experience working with composite materials or composite manufacturing processes.Supplier audit or supplier assessment experience.Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action (RCCA) training or experience.Lean Manufacturing certification or hands-on continuous improvement experience.Aerospace or tooling manufacturing experience.Why Join Us?At PDS Tech Commercial, we connect engineering professionals with industry-leading organizations that are shaping the future of aviation and aerospace.
