Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Supplier Manufacturing Engineer in El Segundo, CA to bridge engineering, procurement, program management and suppliers. The role focuses on tooling and manufacturing partners to meet rigorous aerospace requirements while driving quality, efficiency and performance across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Strong documentation and writing skills.
• Proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint.
• Experience with 3D CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with program mgmt, engineering, procurement, supplier management and quality teams to ensure deliverables meet requirements.
• Define supplier statements of work and communicate manufacturing expectations and quality standards.
• Support maintenance and evaluation of approved tooling suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic assessments.
• Manage supplier waiver requests, deviations, discrepancy reports and CAPAs.
• Investigate supplier non-conformances and root causes.
• Coordinate source inspections and collaborate with customers.
• Review End Item Data Packages and CoCs prior to shipment.
• Use supplier performance databases to evaluate capabilities and metrics.
• Work with sub-tier suppliers on tooling fabrication and project execution.
