Job summary

Formlabs, a leader in 3D printing, seeks a Supplier Industrialization Engineer to partner with R&D and suppliers for NPI launches in Somerville, MA. You will own PFEPs, negotiate contracts, and align manufacturing processes with design changes.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years post‑grad experience, a degree in engineering, and strong data analysis and communication skills. Travel internationally up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years post graduate experience in a strategic sourcing, manufacturing, or supplier quality engineering role.
• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with R&D to identify and qualify suppliers for new product introductions.
• Own a PFEP (Plan for every part) in an NPI BOM and manage supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution.
• Facilitate communication of technical requirements between Suppliers and Formlabs R&D team.
• Proactively research manufacturing technologies or market intelligence to create robust supply chain strategies.
• Identify supply risks, lead negotiations, and drive continuous improvement in supplier performance and sourcing.
• Lead supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness for new products and design changes.
• Own cost modeling and cost estimation for new products.
• Source and procure material with suppliers/CMs to meet NPI builds.
• Maintain clear-to-build reports for NPI builds and provide updates to senior leadership on material availability, schedule, and program cost.
