  • Experience in Automotive, Aerospace & Defense preferred; Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Power BI) also preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive supplier corrective action plans with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve quality and audit-related issues.
  • Lead supplier performance recovery by managing action plan execution and on-site engagement.
  • Ensure alignment of improvement actions across all supply chain stakeholders.
  • Validate and enforce corrective actions to confirm effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Support cross-functional crisis management and risk analysis as needed.

We are looking for a skilled Supplier Field Engineer to join our team in Huntington Beach, CA. This is an on-site position based in Huntington Beach, CA. We value teamwork, inclusivity, and continuous professional development, and we offer competitive benefits along with opportunities for growth.

Hybrid Work Arrangement: This role is designated as hybrid; however, candidates should anticipate working onsite full-time during the initial onboarding and ramp-up period. Following successful integration into the role, a hybrid schedule will be available based on performance, business needs, and team requirements. Regular onsite attendance is required for customer meetings, testing, and key business activities.

JOB SUMMARY

The Supplier Field Engineer partners with the Supplier Performance Manager (SPM) to improve and sustain supplier quality and delivery performance, ensuring alignment with cabin-level targets across assigned suppliers and program scope.

  • Drive supplier corrective action plans with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve systemic quality, production readiness, and audit-related issues, ensuring sustainable results.
  • Lead supplier performance recovery by managing action plan execution, follow-up, and on-site engagement until acceptable performance is achieved.
  • Ensure alignment and consistency of improvement actions across all supply chain stakeholders.
  • Validate and enforce implementation of corrective actions (“check and act”) to confirm effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Lead escalation activities and participate in supplier risk analysis in coordination with the SPM team.
  • Support cross-functional crisis management efforts addressing chronic shortages, quality rejections, and other critical supply or quality disruptions.
  • Support supply chain and operations teams on escalations, recovery plans, and critical issue resolution.
  • Provide on-site supplier support to implement SPM/SQE-driven action plans for recurring performance deviations.
  • Assist in recovery plan execution, including line-of-balance management of shortages across multiple sites.
  • Support supplier performance improvement through regular site visits and close supplier engagement.
  • Support containment, scope definition, and resolution of major quality issues in collaboration with SPM/SQE.
  • Coordinate and participate in workshops to resolve conflicts, drive alignment, and implement operational improvements internally and at supplier sites.
  • Support supplier assessments, performance monitoring, and escalation processes in coordination with Supplier Performance and Quality teams.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment, adhering to company policies.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Protect the confidentiality of the company’s information and products.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related technical field is required.
Experience:

Job assignments will be based on experience, job opening and budget availability, and the performance level of the incumbent.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, or a related industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint)
Skills:
  • Advanced technical understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Intermediate understanding of process control, total quality, APQP, and lean manufacturing.
  • Advanced knowledge of supply chain principles and tools, including audits and ERP systems.
  • Intermediate knowledge of quality and lean tools (FMEA, 8D, DMAIC, 5W, Ishikawa, etc.), including audits.
  • Intermediate problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues and determine root causes (design, supplier, or other factors) in a timely manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Basic knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently in an autonomous environment.
  • Strong self-motivation and planning skills to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lead through influence and effectively manage conflict.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or French is a plus.

SUPERVISION PROVIDED TO THE POSITION
  • Independently develops solutions to routine and moderately complex problems.
  • Reports directly to the Manager of Purchasing.
  • Receives assignments in terms of desired outcomes, timelines, and budget parameters; performance is evaluated based on achievement of objectives and adherence to schedules.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY
  • This position has no direct reports.

  • Develop solutions to complex problems that align with organizational objectives, leveraging established processes and sound engineering judgment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both reading and verbally.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Elevate Aircraft Seating offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work. The base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.

Salary Range Transparency: $90,000 - $115,000 annually
