Elevate Aircraft Seating in Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking a Manager Commodity to lead procurement for composites, plastics, electronics, actuation and machined parts. This hybrid role requires onsite work during onboarding, then a mix of on‑site and remote work based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities include supplier selection, contract negotiation, market analyses, and KPI reporting to optimize cost and quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or supply chain management is required.
Master's degree is preferred.
5+ years in supply chain purchasing for aerospace interiors is expected.

Responsibilities

Oversee supplier selection, negotiate pricing, and establish long‑term contracts.
Identify and monitor supplier financial health, delivery and quality performance, and optimize transportation costs.
Conduct market analyses to select strategic suppliers.
Assess supplier capability and capacity to meet demand.
Develop a supplier network with on‑time delivery performance.
Provide support to site buyers/procurement specialists as needed.
Prepare status reports and create supplier KPIs.
Collaborate across levels to negotiate and drive high‑level decisions.

Hybrid Work Arrangement:

This role is designated as hybrid; however, candidates should anticipate working onsite full-time during the initial onboarding and ramp-up period. Following successful integration into the role, a hybrid schedule will be available based on performance, business needs, and team requirements. Regular onsite attendance is required for customer meetings, testing, and key business activities.

JOB SUMMARY

The Manager Commodity is responsible for all commodities including composites, plastics, electronics, actuation, and machined parts. This position develops, leads, and manages a procurement strategy for the Huntington Beach business unit, in harmonization with global Elevate Aircraft Seating site strategies.

Identify and monitor supplier financial health, delivery and quality performance, shared company‑owned tooling, and optimize part transportation costs

Conduct market analyses that contribute to an optimal selection of strategic suppliers

Assess supplier capability and capacity

Develop a supplier network of on‑time delivery performance

Provide support to site buyers / procurement specialists, as needed

Prepare status reports and creates supplier Key Performance Indicators

Cooperate with people of different levels inside and outside the company, interact with team to reach team goals and business objectives on a very high level

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineer, Business or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent work experience is required

Master’s Degree is preferred

Experience:

5+ years supply chain experience as a supply chain buyer, preferably in aircraft interiors knowledge

3+ years’ experience in writing and negotiating supplier long term contracts

Experience with AS9100, AS9102 and Boeing & Airbus commercial aircraft contract requirements

Skills:

Knowledge of Boeing and Airbus specifications for aircraft seat systems

Knowledge of regulatory requirements of EASA and FAA for aircraft seat systems

Proficient in MRP systems and Inventory Management

Other:

Extended or irregular hours may be required.

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Will be asked to travel globally to source and secure supply chain suppliers

Often asked to travel on short notice

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Elevate Aircraft Seating offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work. The base pay offered will vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.

Salary Range Transparency:

$120,000 - $135,000 annually
