The Supplier Development Engineer (SDE) - Plant Quality will serve as the first line of support for supplier quality issues at our manufacturing facilities, especially those requiring escalation. The primary responsibility will be to facilitate responses from suppliers and coordinate onsite support when needed.
The SDE Plant Quality will support the First Article Inspection (FAI) process, coordinate onsite supplier support, and handle containment, follow-up, and closure of Supplier Corrective Action Notices (SCANs/8Ds), and supplier chargebacks. The role requires analyzing and resolving supplier issues, communicating effectively, and contributing to continuous improvement and supplier relationship building. The position involves 10-20% travel.
