Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT)

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! A&P Mechanic - Rotor Wing, FULL-TIME Opportunity in Fayette, AL
  • Starting Salary: $62,705 - $91,455 annually
  • IA Stipend: $2,080
  • Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

We are hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Air Evac Lifeteam. This technician will support our airframe and ensure that our team can maintain and deliver timely, high-quality transportation services, care, and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs, and provide regular status updates to the Lead Technician.
  2. Manage inventory checks, ensure stock of supplies and equipment, update the equipment tracking log, and document part expenditures.
  3. Document service paperwork and FAA information as required, adhering to policies and procedures while complying with information security standards.
  4. Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
  5. Facilitate coordination between departments, vendors, and team members using appropriate communication methods.
  6. Work collaboratively and professionally with all health and safety personnel, fellow AMTs, and the operations team.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Two (2) years turbine-powered helicopter experience
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid State Driver's License
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records, and planning
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations
  • Compliance with FAA drug and alcohol testing program
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate
  • Experience under CFR Part 135
  • Autopilot maintenance experience
  • Avionics and electrical repair experience
  • Maintenance experience on aircraft models such as AS350, Bell 206, Bell 407, EC130, EC135
