Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer for the Mechanical Hardware & Fastener Starship program in Hawthorne, CA. You will own fasteners, dynamic hardware, and fluid control components across suppliers, from selection through high-rate production.

You will work hands-on on shop floors and in design reviews, applying deep manufacturing and fastener expertise to meet quality, cost, and schedule targets. Strong problem solving and communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 2+ years in manufacturing/ supplier development or related roles.
• Hands-on with mechanical fasteners and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical hardware commodity for Starship: fasteners, dynamic hardware, and fluid control, from supplier selection to rate production.
• Lead NPI and transfers; qualify suppliers and ramp production to takt times.
• Drive PPAP, FAIR, and capability studies to ensure critical characteristics are controlled.
