Overview
Seeks to continuously improve performance of key supplier quality system components by developing standard business processes and robust quality assurance plans. Tracks data, identifies improvement projects, and manages cross functional implementations to improve performance of key components and suppliers.
Primary location can be Milwaukee, WI, Mayville, WI, or Byron Center, MI.
Responsibilities
Implements quality system procedures and recommends improvements, interacts with team members to achieve daily and long-term goals; ensures procedures are followed.
- Develops quality initiatives to attain and maintain customer satisfaction and focus.
- Supports the suppliers on quality activities.
- Provides technical expertise to purchasing function.
- Serves as liaison between the supplier and MEC in quality activities which may include presenting quality trend data to inform and problem solving, working with the suppliers on corrective action reports, and verifying its effectiveness.
- Participates in supplier development activities and interactions with suppliers, implementing corrective actions, and improving control plans.
- Prepares and provides data analysis of finished product and consumer complaint issues and recommends implementation of corrective and preventative actions for supplier improvement and elimination of defects; follows-up process improvements as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
