Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Valid Missouri teaching certificate or eligibility for certification.
  • Expertise in either Math or Science.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum, instructional strategies, and classroom management.
  • Experience with or commitment to working in diverse, urban school environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver lesson plans meeting state and district standards.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and technology tools to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Continuously assess student understanding and adjust teaching methods to improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with instructional coaches, department chairs, and fellow teachers to enhance curriculum alignment and instructional practices.

Position Summary:

At Kansas City Public Schools, Supplemental Teachers play a critical role in student success. Through high-quality instruction, targeted interventions, and small-group support across elementary grade levels, you will help students reach their full potential. By fostering a positive learning environment and collaborating with colleagues and families, you will support academic growth and prepare students for future success.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Instructional Delivery

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
