Job summary

Pullman Regional Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Registrar to support patient registration and scheduling on an as-needed basis. You will collect demographic data, verify insurance eligibility, and assist patients with forms while delivering friendly, accurate service.

The role requires strong communication, fast typing, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Prior medical setting experience is a plus, and the team emphasizes patient-focused care.

Qualifications

  • Competent in computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong typing skills with good speed.
  • Comfort in answering phones and speaking with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, check-in, check-out, and registration processes.
  • Ensure accurate data entry of patient information.
  • Assist with collecting co-pays and balancing end-of-day deposits.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to patients, providers, and staff.
  • Support clinical staff with paperwork and patient flow as needed.

Hours are not guaranteed, and schedules will vary based on department needs.**Company Statement:**Pullman Regional is an innovative, patient-focused, multi-disciplinary based work environment where all members of the team contribute to the exceptional care of our patients and the community.**Position Overview:**The Patient Registrar provides high-quality customer service to patients, providers, and staff in a respectful, positive manner. Provides appointment scheduling and registration service for patients. Interviews all incoming patients to obtain patient demographic information and verify insurance eligibility. Supports clinical staff and providers with obtaining patient paperwork and/or patient care, as needed.**A Day in the Life:*** Promotes and contributes to a positive work environment, serving others with professional and positive attitude.* Encourages equitable division of workload.* Keep current with the changes in professionalism and hospital policy. Participate in all assigned meetings and committee assignments.* Performs scheduling, check-in, check-out, and other pertinent organization processes according to procedures and policies.
