Responsibilities

  • Document care in the EMR and maintain confidentiality.
  • Uphold policies, participate in orientation and committees.

The physician conducts examinations, assesses and evaluates symptoms, determines conditions and prescribes medical treatment or services.**A Day in the Life:*** Work with the healthcare team to provide patients with emergency medical care services .* Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.* Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications and treatment regimens to treat medical conditions.* Order laboratory and diagnostic tests, obtain medical consultation when clinically indicated.* Analyze reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose and manage condition of patients.* Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.* Adhere to organization and departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.* Document patient care conversations, care provided and all other work as defined by organizational standards in the EMR.* Promotes and contributes to a positive work environment, serving others with professional and positive attitude.* Responsible to train, demonstrate, or guide others in the performance of assigned work, includes, but not limited to, medical students and resident physicians.* Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.* Maintain a clean and safe work area and take responsibility for departmental space.* Participation in a modified, organizational wide new employee orientation, successful completion of departmental orientation, and other medical staff committees.**About You!****This Job is For You if You Have:*** Maintain physician licensure, in good standing, acceptable in the State of Washington.* Board certified or board eligible in emergency medicine.* Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for an emergency physician.* Ability to learn and adapt to technology.* Initiates and participates in activities that enhance daily operations of the clinic and organization.* Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with colleagues, patients, and customers.* Strong typing skills.* Ability to read and write clearly, and understand policies, labels, and written instructions.**Company Perks:**Our employees are our most important asset and that’s reflected in our benefits.
