JOB SUMMARY: The Patient Care Assistant I (PCA I) supports patient care activities under RN supervision in clinics and inpatient units. Responsibilities include assisting with patient needs, adhering to safety protocols, and performing basic care activities. Competence in medical terminology, communication, organizational, and computer skills is required, along with personal and professional effectiveness.
Additional certifications such as EKG or Phlebotomy may be required depending on the unit.
