This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY SURFACE MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1252000 and is part of the FL SMO, National Guard.

Key Responsibilities

As a SUPERVISORY SURFACE MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), GS-1601-11, you will exercise administrative and technical supervision over one or more surface maintenance facilities, e.g., CSMS, MATES, UTES and/or FMS; plan and schedule work to be accomplished by subordinates; set and adjust short-term priorities; develop, implement, and oversee the quality assurance program for assigned surface maintenance facilities; review work instructions, technical data, inspection methods, and test procedures to ensure adequacy; review quality and flow of materials and supplies required to support maintenance activities; provide technical guidance to assigned maintenance activities through coordinated assistance or evaluation visits; oversee hazardous waste/industrial hygiene programs for maintenance facilities supervised.

Identifies special tools, test equipment requirements, and coordinates procurement as needed.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a Ph.D.
