Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE at Gulfport, MS, seeks a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist to lead the Supply Management Department in Gulfport. The role oversees policy interpretation, program implementation, and personnel supervision to ensure efficient logistics support.

Candidates should demonstrate experience with DoD supply regulations, warehousing, inventory control, HAZMAT, and MILSTRIP/Navy ERP, with a proven ability to manage facilities

Qualifications

  • Show at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-11 or pay band.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supply policies, procedures, and regulations across DoD, DON, NAVSUP, and DLA.
  • Experience with warehousing, inventory, physical inventory control, and traffic management.
  • Experience using Navy ERP and MILSTRIP.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience managing personnel, planning and evaluating performance.
  • Experience conducting management studies and analyzing metrics to improve supply processes.
  • Experience managing warehouses and material handling equipment.

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the SUPPLY MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE AT GULFPORT, MS.

Requirements
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of the full range of supply policies, procedures, and regulations from the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Navy (DON), NAVSUP, and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Utilizing Warehousing and Storage Management, Inventory Management, Physical Inventory Control, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) management, and Traffic Management. Utilizing Logistics and Financial Systems such as Navy's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and MILSTRIP. Possessing supervisory skills to manage personnel, plan and assign work, and evaluate performance. Conducting management studies and analyzing metrics to develop recommendations to improve supply processes. Managing physical facilities, including the maintenance and upkeep of warehouses and associated material handling equipment (MHE).
