Berkeley County Schools in Martinsburg, WV, seeks a Supervisory Special Education Aide to support ED, MS, MD, AU, ID students. The role involves assisting with daily instructional activities and behavior management under the Building Administrator's supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and be able to assist with mobility and basic care as needed. 200-day calendar with a fixed schedule from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.”

Formación

• Assist teachers in daily instructional and non-instructional activities.
• Support students with diverse needs including ED, MS, MD, AU, ID.
• Ability to assist with mobility and toileting as required.

Responsabilidades

• Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues, supervisors, and students.
• Assists teacher in routine classroom operation.
• Demonstrates understanding of student's disability; remains fair and courteous.
• Maintains classroom including preparing bulletin boards.
• Loads/unloads wheelchair-bound students on bus or with transportation.
