Job summary

NAWCAD Lakehurst seeks a Supervisory Program Manager, Recovery and Visual Landing Aids Programs Branch Head, within the Prototype Manufacturing and Test Department. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, oversee life cycle acquisitions, manage budgets, and act as AO for the PCARD program, ensuring fiscal discipline.

You will plan, assign, and evaluate work, drive hiring plans, and maintain long-term technical capability for the branch.

Responsibilities

• Assign work to subordinates based on priorities and capability.
• Evaluate subordinates' performance and recommend ratings.
• Head the Recovery and VLA Programs Branch, guiding a multi-disciplinary team.
• Lead teams through life cycle of large-scale acquisitions and contracting actions.
• Manage branch assets, personnel, facilities, and workload forecasts.
• Perform full supervisory responsibilities including HR and admin tasks.
• Serve as Approving Official for the Government Purchase Card and monitor budgets.

You will serve as a Supervisory Program Manager as the Recovery and Visual Landing Aids Programs Branch Head (BL41400) within the Prototype and Manufacturing Division of the Prototype Manufacturing and Test Department in the NAWCAD Lakehurst of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will plan work and prepare performance plans covering work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
• You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
• You will evaluate work performance of subordinates and recommends official performance ratings.
• You will serve as the Head of the Recovery and VLA Programs Branch, leading a multi-disciplinary team of engineering and technical professionals.
• You will guide teams through the entire life cycle of large-scale acquisitions and complex contracting actions.
• You will manage branch assets, including personnel and facilities, and develop workload forecasts and hiring plans to maintain long-term technical capability.
• You will perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities, including planning work, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, managing human resources, and handling administrative tasks.
• You will serve as a designated Approving Official (AO) for the Government Purchase Card (PCARD) program and ensures sound fiscal management by monitoring budgets, analyzing costs, and forecasting needs.
