Job summary

PrintWorkers in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Print Lead to oversee daily production, ensuring quality, safety, productivity, and labor standards are met in a hands-on leadership role. You will direct hourly staff, coach for performance, inspect outputs against specifications, and champion continuous improvement while supporting hiring, training and scheduling.

Experience with jet presses and converting presses is preferred; salary ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 per year for a full‑time

Job Description

Print Lead – Chaska, MN

Pay: $80,000 – $90,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced Print Lead to oversee daily production and ensure quality, safety, productivity, and labor standards are met. This is a hands‑on leadership role for an experienced manufacturing professional with knowledge of jet presses and converting presses.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities and ensure schedules, quality, safety, and labor standards are achieved.
• Direct, assign, and monitor work for hourly production employees; provide coaching, feedback, and accountability.
• Inspect products and make quality decisions to meet specifications and customer orders.
• Promote employee communication and ideas that improve production efficiency and quality.
• Support hiring, interviewing, training, scheduling, employee development, and corrective action.
• Promote Continuous Improvement and a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive experience supervising, motivating, and leading hourly employees, in print or converting manufacturing.
• Experience with jet presses and converting presses preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Knowledge of OHS and quality practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem‑solving, planning, and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate teams, manage priorities, work under pressure, and support process improvement.

Physical & Work Environment

Requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion. May occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. and exert up to 75 lbs. of force. Work involves production machinery, constant noise, inks, solvents, and glue. SDS information is available.
