Job summary

PrintWorkers in Park Ridge, IL seeks a Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead inspection, release, and CAPA activities on the 1st shift. You will ensure ISO 9001 compliance and accurate documentation in QT9, and you will make go/stop decisions to protect product quality.

The role requires several years in QA within manufacturing or printing/packaging, knowledge of quality systems, and a continuous improvement mindset. Direct hire with solid benefits and stable, hands-on leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing inspection, printing, packaging, or a related field preferred.
• ISO 9001 experience preferred.
• Lean experience preferred; Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Experience with waste reduction, resource efficiency, recycling, sustainability, or sustainable packaging preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspection, product release & corrective action.
• Review inspection records for accuracy before product release.
• Ensure quality results are documented in QT9.
• Determine whether work may proceed, requires correction, or must be placed on hold.
• Stop production, fulfillment, or shipment when quality or customer requirements may be compromised.
• Identify, segregate, document and evaluate nonconforming materials.
• Initiate and support nonconformance and CAPA activities, including containment.
• Support customer complaint investigations by gathering records, samples, and photographs.
• Track corrective actions, verify effectiveness, and escalate significant or overdue issues.

Salary: $75,000–$100,000/year | Medical, Dental & Vision | 1st Shift | Direct Hire

Duties:

• Inspection, Product Release & Corrective Action
• Review inspection records for accuracy before product release.
• Ensure quality results are accurately documented in QT9.

• Ensure nonconforming materials are identified, segregated, documented and evaluated

Quality Management System Compliance

• Ensure compliance with the company’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System, procedures, work instructions, and customer requirements.
• Reinforce use of approved documents and current revisions.
• Support QT9 use for inspections, nonconformance, CAPA, training.
• Identify procedural gaps, control weaknesses, and quality risks.
• Support customer, certification, and internal audits.

Qualifications & Experience

• Associate degree, technical education, or quality-related training preferred.
• Five years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing inspection, printing, packaging, or a related field preferred.
• Printing, converting, packaging, fulfillment, warehousing, or regulated manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• ISO 9001 experience preferred.
• Lean experience preferred; Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Experience with waste reduction, resource efficiency, recycling, sustainability, or sustainable packaging preferred.
