Job summary

The U.S. Army Cyber Command at Fort Meade, MD seeks a civilian to support the 7th Signal Command (Theater) G2 Section under DCIPS. The role focuses on managing intelligence and security programs and ensuring compliance with defense regulations.

You will plan and evaluate intelligence operations, justify budgets, and brief senior leadership and external stakeholders to guide decisions. This is an Excepted Service DCIPS position under DoD rules.

About the Position:

This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 7th Signal Command (Theater) G2 Section in Fort Meade, MD.

Specialized Experience:

1. Managing intelligence and security programs (such as personnel, information, and communications security) to ensure organizational compliance with defense regulations and operational objectives;
2. Planning and evaluating short- and long-term intelligence operations, project milestones, and mission requirements to align operational capabilities with organizational strategic goals;
3. Formulating and justifying program budgets, staffing requirements, and operational resource allocations to secure necessary funding and support for ongoing mission execution before resource advisory bodies;
4. Advising and briefing senior leadership and external defense or interagency stakeholders on complex intelligence assessments and policy matters to guide executive decision-making and build operational consensus.

Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
