The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives seeks a Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist (Branch Chief) for the Office of Intelligence Operations in Wichita, KS. The role leads intelligence personnel, directs strategic and statistical analyses, and guides cross‑agency projects within law enforcement partners.
Responsibilities include planning initiatives, supervising staff, and delivering expert advisory support to Bureau leadership.
This position is located in the Office of Intelligence Operations, Firearms Operations Division, Crime Gun Intelligence Center of Excellence Branch located in Wichita, KS.
The major duties of the Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist position include, but are not limited to, the following: Exercises full supervisory responsibilities and authority over non-supervisory intelligence personnel. Serves as an authority on strategic intelligence issues, providing expert advice to Bureau management and high-ranking officials regarding intelligence issues and statistical matters within program areas.
Plans and oversees intelligence projects, predictive analysis projects and initiatives that concern programs and associates activities in other Federal, State, local and international law enforcement and regulatory agencies and organizations. Develops overall program and/or project objectives, goals, resource requirements, and milestones for all intelligence aspects of the branches programs.
