Fleet Readiness Center Southwest in San Diego, CA is seeking a Supervisory General Engineer to lead the E-2/Multi-Platform Fleet Support Team. You will oversee engineering resources, plan and execute complex projects, and ensure personnel are trained and certified to satisfy operational requirements.

The role requires adapting to changing programs and funding, directing priorities, coordinating schedules, and reviewing work to meet production and accuracy standards.

Position Description

You will serve as a Supervisory General Engineer in the E-2/Multi-Platform Fleet Support Team(FST) at FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the continuity, efficiency and effectiveness of the overall operational efforts of the area assigned and ensure the team is sustained with fully trained and certified personnel that satisfy operational requirements.
• You will manage engineering resources and processes, plan, coordinate, conduct and provide extensive engineering expertise while leading a wide array of complex engineering projects.
• You will be responsible for managing the engineering and logistics resources required to perform support for assigned groups and/or technical specialties.
• You will assist in the development and execute the planning, directing, and prioritizing of activities concerning the area under supervision and, therefore, must routinely adapt to frequent and unpredictable changes in programs and funds.
• You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for competition of work.
• You will assign and review work on a daily basis, assuring that production and accuracy requirements are met, recommending performance standards and ratings, and approving leave.
