The Supervision Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY) supervises banks in the Second District.Theobjectivesof supervision are to:
Supervision is carried out through a combination of methods, including on-site and off-site examinations involving staff dedicated to the supervision of an individual firm and other professionals focused on analytical, policy and risk matters. Supervision is coordinated with other US agencies.
The SupervisionGroupat FRBNYis responsible fortheday-to-day supervisionofGloballySystemicallyImportantBanks,Large and Foreign Banking Organizations, Regional and Community Banking OrganizationsandFinancial Market Utilitiesthat are based in the Second District. Thesupervisoryteamsexecute examinations,monitoring, and analysisin coordination withstaffs ofthe Board of Governors,otherReserve Banks,and otherdomestic and international agencies.Supervision staffdevelopadeepunderstanding of the safety and soundness of the firmsandthebroaderbankingindustry;recommend supervisory plans and ratings;and execute examinations,monitoringevents and financial analysis.Supervisorsfocus their workonrisks includingCapital, Governance and Controls, Liquidity, Resolution and Recovery; and the overallfinancial and operational resiliency of thefirms’andthebroaderfinancial system.
Salary Range:$164200 -$242200
