The Federal Reserve Bank of New York offers a Technology Intern (Junior) program. This ten-week, on-site internship provides real-world exposure in information security, data management, software development, and end-user services, with mentorship and opportunities to learn from senior technology leaders.

System IT collaboratively imagines, plans, delivers, runs, and measures business technology solutions to foster the stability, integrity, and efficiency of our nation’s monetary, financial, and payments system. Our technology teams are positioned to effectively serve the Fed’s mission and businesses as an enterprise IT team. We are organized to serve the local business and take advantage of scale, enabling us to benefit from shared capabilities, standardized processes, and broader technical capacity and expertise.
As a junior intern in the Technology Track, you have a demonstrated interest in computer science, information systems, application development or business technology. Specific technical skills may be required depending on area and project. Other general requirements include:
Salary Range: Your regular wages for the 10 weeks will be paid on a semi-monthly basis and will be calculated based on an annual salary of $72,100.
This position requires access to confidential supervisory information (CSI) and/or Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) information. Access to CSI and FOMC information is limited to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, individuals who meet the definition of “protected individual” under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), and certain other nonimmigrants. All non-U.S. citizens authorized to access CSI and/or FOMC information must sign a declaration of intent to expeditiously become a lawful permanent resident and thereafter a U.S. citizen when eligible.
