This vacancy is for a GS-0260-15, Supervisory Equal Employment Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, OFFICE OF CIVIL RIGHTS EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT -CG-00HE in WASHINGTON, District of Columbia.

To qualify at the GS-15 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-15 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.

  • Experience managing staff and a nationwide program responsible for EEO/EO compliance, including planning, assigning, and reviewing work; setting performance standards; and overseeing budget and contracts.
  • Experience developing, formulating, and implementing EEO and EO policies and programs. This includes creating guidelines and policies/programs to prevent discrimination in the workplace, and also to address systemic issues and ensure compliance with federal laws and regulations.
  • Experience analyzing EEO data to identify trends, conducting program evaluations, and preparing comprehensive reports and recommendations for senior leadership, with follow-on action that uses the data to improve policies/programs/procedures.
