This vacancy requires demonstrated experience at the GS-13 level with specialized EEO duties, including managing informal pre-complaint processes, handling formal EEO complaints, and conducting quality reviews of ROIs and related materials.

Qualifications

  • EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level (or equivalent) performing all the following duties: Managing or overseeing informal (pre-complaint) Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) processes, i.e. counseling requirements, notification of rights, early conflict resolution, and use of ADR to facilitate timely resolution; Processing formal EEO complaints, i.e. evaluating issues and claims, making acceptance/dismissal determinations, and ensuring required notices and actions are completed in accordance with regulatory criteria and timelines; Conducting quality reviews of Reports of Investigation (ROIs) and other case materials to verify compliance with procedural requirements and readiness for next-stage processing.

Responsibilities

  • Processing formal EEO complaints: evaluating issues/claims, acceptance/dismissal determinations, ensuring notices and actions are completed on time.

You qualify at the GS-13 grade level, if you have:

EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level (or equivalent) performing all the following duties:

  1. Managing or overseeing informal (pre-complaint) Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) processes, (i.e. counseling requirements, notification of rights, early conflict resolution, and use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) to facilitate timely resolution);
  2. Processing formal EEO complaints, (i.e. evaluating issues and claims, making acceptance/dismissal determinations, and ensuring required notices and actions are completed in accordance with regulatory criteria and timelines); AND
  3. Conducting quality reviews of Reports of Investigation (ROIs) and other case materials to verify compliance with procedural requirements and readiness for next-stage processing.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
