The Environmental Protection Agency in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a senior policy and program leader to plan, organize, and direct emission-reduction initiatives for heavy‑duty engines and vehicles. This office-centered role requires regular on-site reporting to the stated duty station.

This position is in the Office of Air and Radiation (OAR), Office of Transportation and Air Quality, Transportation Section Impacts and Standards Division, Heavy-Duty Engine and Vehicle Branch. About this organization: OAR This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.
At the full performance level of this position, you will: Plan, organize, and direct organizational priorities and resources to achieve the Division's goals for development and implementation of emission reduction programs for heavy-duty engines and vehicles. Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities to promote an environment that empowers employees to participate in and contribute to effective mission accomplishment. Represent the Agency to stakeholders by building effective working relationships, providing policy and procedural guidance, and resolving issues as they arise. Serve as the Agency's technical authority on heavy-duty engine and vehicle emissions reduction strategies, policies, and regulations.
