Job summary

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) seeks a highly capable professional for a GS-15 position. The role focuses on planning, conducting, and supervising investigations into drug manufacturing, importation, and trafficking, including diversion of chemicals.

You will provide strategic guidance to prevent illegal distribution and ensure CSA/CDTA compliance. Responsibilities include developing division-wide policies, detecting violations, and pursuing administrative, civil, and judicial actions

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-14 level in investigations involving manufacturing, importing, and trafficking of licit drugs and diversion of chemicals.
• Guidance to prevent and eliminate illicit diversion of controlled pharmaceuticals and listed chemicals.
• Ensuring administrative, operational, and legal program compliance.
• Assisting in developing division-wide policies under the CSA, CDTA, and Narcotic Addict Treatment Act.
• Detecting violations and pursuing appropriate administrative, civil, and/or judicial action.

GS-15: Must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level or pay band in the Federal service that includes performing the following duties: 1) Planning, conducting, and overseeing investigations encompassing the manufacturing, importing and trafficking of licit drugs and the diversion of chemicals which may involve large, complex and multi-mission organizations and lead to cases of multi-jurisdictional, national, or international significance; 2) Providing guidance in order to prevent and eliminate the illicit diversion of controlled pharmaceuticals and listed chemicals; 3) Ensuring administrative, operational, and legal program compliance; 4) Assisting in developing division wide policies pertaining to the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), the Chemical Diversion and Trafficking Act (CDTA), and the Narcotic Addict Treatment Act; and 5) Detecting violations and pursuing appropriate administrative, civil, and/or judicial action.
