This Supervisory Auditor announcement will be used to fill the open Director position within the Division of Financial Advisory Services (DFAS).This position is located in the Division of Financial Advisory Services (DFAS), Office of Acquisition Management and Policy (OAMP), Office of Acquisition and Logistics Management, Office of Management (OM), Office of the Director (OD), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
As the Supervisory Auditor (DFAS Director) your duties may include: The incumbent is delegated full responsibility for planning, organizing, and directing all functions and services of the Division. The incumbent directs the work of the Division, comprised of approximately 30 staff members, most of whom are senior auditors. Plans, organizes, and manages a comprehensive program of financial management services to ensure appropriate funding and reimbursement of contracts and grants awarded in support of the NIH's extramural and intramural programs. Serves as the NIH expert on all accounting, financial, and auditing aspects of contracts and grants, to include the financial responsibility of new contractors and grantees and the adequacy of their accounting and related management systems. Serves as a member of the OAMP Associate Director's senior management team, which is responsible for overall program planning and management of the Office's resources. Serves as the NIH liaison with the DHHS Audit Resolution Division (ARD) and the responsible agency official. Provides expert advice and leadership to staff who conduct cost and price analyses of contract proposals and grant applications and who also provide assistance during evaluation, negotiation, performance, and close-out of contracts and grants.
