Job summary

SeaWorld in San Diego is seeking enthusiastic Ambassadors to join our team. You will oversee department tasks, serve as the main technical resource, implement daily directives, and help maintain smooth operations while ensuring guest and staff safety.

Candidates must be 18+, hold a high school diploma, have 5+ years as a working diver in aquatic facilities, 2 years in water quality leadership, SCUBA certified, and capable of lifting 80 pounds. Benefits include paid time off and insurance options.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience as a working diver in aquatic life support or water treatment.
• Minimum 2 years' leadership in Water Quality or similar Maintenance Shop.
• Strong knowledge of fluid hydraulics and advanced water treatment processes.
• SCUBA certified and able to pass a pre-employment dive physical.
• Able to complete CPR training/certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to swim and work in/around water.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift 80 pounds.

• Perform other departmental ad hoc duties as instructed.

• Responsible for transitioning and training of new hires
• Assist and maintain open communication with other departments
• Perform other departmental ah hoc duties as instructed by management

What it takes to succeed:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have at least 5 years' experience as a working diver in an aquatic life support facility or other water treatment facility.
• Must have a minimum 2 years' of leadership experience in Water Quality or similar Maintenance Shop
• Must have strong knowledge of fluid hydraulics and advanced water treatment processes
• Must be SCUBA certified and be able to pass a pre-employment dive physical
• Must be able to complete provided CPR training/certificationMust have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to swim and work in/around water
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift, push/pull 80 pounds
• Must be able to bend, reach, twist, and turn with complete flexibility
• Must be available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts

Desired Qualifications

• Possession of a valid state driver's license preferred
• Experience with risk management and safety monitoring preferred

Compensation: $37.00 per hour
