Job summary

UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. seeks a Warehousing Supervisor to manage inbound and outbound freight, oversee daily warehouse operations, and ensure on-time processing.

You will lead a team, collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal groups to optimize flow from receiving to shipment, and sustain safety and quality standards. The role emphasizes staff evaluation, hiring decisions, onboarding, transfers, and performance coaching within automated environments using robotics and WMS

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, or permanent resident, or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• WMS experience required; inventory experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Our Global Logistics and Distribution business unit provides comprehensive logistics services and warehousing solutions utilizing a global network of distribution centers, innovative technology and supply chain expertise to manage the flow of goods from receiving to storage and order processing to shipment.

Job Summary

The Warehousing Supervisor operates a warehouse with inbound and outbound freight shipments that are processed within a short timeframe. Supports business products by collaborating with vendors, customers, and other internal support groups for the movement of international and domestic air and ocean shipments. Monitors and manages facility performance to ensure materials are processed in a timely manner and meet customers’ requirements. Responsible for daily facility activities related to loading and unloading containers, pulling orders, freight sorting, customer support, facility inspections, handling employee concerns, etc.

They're responsible for overseeing, evaluating, and correcting the performance and outcomes of a team or multiple teams. Coordinates work across the organization to optimize efficiency. Makes key workforce decisions, such as hiring, onboarding, transferring, laying off, disciplining, assigning, directing, instructing, developing, and rewarding employees. Emphasis on aligning processes and fostering cohesion among team members.

They supervise a team(s) that performs work according to standardized processes or procedures (e.g., entry-level Professional Expertise, Administrative or Technical Support). Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors. Problem solving is guided by policies, procedures and the local business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager. Typically, does not perform the work supervised.

The operations are automated using technology including but not limited to automation and robotics.
