About the Facility

Lilly is constructing a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Lebanon, Indiana, focused on innovative modalities including Gene Therapy. This site will feature next-generation manufacturing technologies and advanced data platforms, enhancing safety, quality, and process performance. This role offers a unique chance to be part of the startup team for this greenfield site, supporting both clinical and commercial supply.

Responsibilities

We seek a Utility Operations Supervisor at Lebanon Advanced Therapies Manufacturing Site to oversee all utility operations, ensure compliance with cGMP, and maintain equipment and systems to standards. Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring compliance with site procedures
• Managing utility event communication
• Providing functional and technical leadership to the utility team
• Monitoring and reporting system performance
• Coordinating utility operations and supporting investigations into equipment failures

Phase-specific Responsibilities

Pre-Startup and Startup Phase

• Transition from day shift to 24/7 support during peak activities
• Lead safety-first, quality-driven utility operations
• Collaborate with Global Facility Delivery on project support
• Participate in system verification activities

Post-Startup Phase

• Act as primary contact for escalations and communication
• Supervise planning and implementation of duties, ensuring training and inspection readiness
• Support troubleshooting and safety practices
• Manage emergency responses and review work orders for trends

People Management

• Ensure team training meets or exceeds goals
• Promote ongoing learning and safety practices
• Model company values and policies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
• Minimum five years of utilities operations experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing and utilities operations
• Familiarity with maintenance CMMS and supervisory experience
• Willingness to support off-hours emergencies and obtain Waste Water Operator Certification
