Supervisor - Travel Medical Disability Examiners - Remote

We have an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor of the Travel Medical Disability Examiners to join our growing team at OptumServe, part of UnitedHealth Group. This role involves supervising physicians and mid-level providers on the Medical Disability Exam Travel team, evaluating and conducting exams for Medical Disability claims, including TBI exams for Veterans. The position requires traveling within the U.S. to fixed facilities and mobile units to conduct exams, with remote work when not traveling.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervising medical staff on the Travel team
• Conducting exams for disability claims, including TBI assessments
• Travel within the U.S. to various exam locations
• Providing oversight and establishing agreements with mid-level providers
• Completing ACE and IMO exams as required

Qualifications:

• Licensed MD or DO with current, unrestricted license
• Board certification in Psychiatry, Neurosurgery, Physiatry, or Neurology
• Ability to travel 50% or more for monthly assignments
• Remote work capability when not traveling
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• VA Compensation and Pension Examiner certification
• Experience with VA disability evaluations
• Military or veteran healthcare experience
• Leadership experience

The salary range is $269,500 to $425,500 annually, with benefits including comprehensive health plans, incentive programs, stock options, and 401k. The application will remain open for at least 2 business days or until sufficient candidates are received.
