Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. seeks a Telecommunications Supervisor Construction to oversee the company’s construction program and ensure field sites adhere to established rules, practices, and safety standards.

You’ll be the primary contact with customers and stakeholders, coordinating crews and subcontractors to deliver on time and within scope. You will manage schedules, respond to call-outs, and uphold company policies while communicating effectively with management, customers, and field

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in the telecom industry.
• Working knowledge of telecom standards, practices, and regulations for civil/field construction.
• Knowledge of aerial and underground construction methods and engineering requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and minimum 2 years driving experience.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and implement the Company’s Construction Program, ensuring job sites follow established rules and policies.
• Be available for call-outs as needed.
• Serve as primary contact with customers, developers, property owners, utilities, and municipalities.
• Coordinate and lead crews, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient work.
• Monitor progress, schedules, and deadlines to meet project targets.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, safety requirements, and standards.
• Prioritize daily workloads and adapt to changing priorities with minimal supervision.
• Communicate deadlines, progress, and priorities to stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• You will supervise and implement the Company’s Construction Program, ensuring each job site follows established construction rules, practices, standards, and policies.
• You must be available to respond to call-outs as needed.
• You will represent the company professionally and serve as a primary point of contact with customers, developers, property owners, utility companies, and municipalities.
• You will coordinate, lead, and provide support to crews, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• You will monitor construction progress and ensure project schedules and deadlines are met.
• You will ensure that all Corporate Policies and Procedures, safety requirements, and applicable standards are followed.
• You will organize, plan, and prioritize daily workloads, effectively managing multiple tasks and changing priorities while working with minimal supervision.
• You will establish and communicate deadlines, monitor progress, and adjust priorities as needed to meet project requirements.
• You will communicate effectively and professionally with employees, management, customers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

What You’ll Need

• You have 3+ years of supervisory experience in the telecommunications industry.
• You have working knowledge of telecommunications industry standards, practices, and regulations related to the construction of fiber optic and copper cable outside plant facilities.
• You have knowledge of aerial and underground construction methods, as well as applicable engineering requirements.
• You have a valid driver’s license and a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
• You have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• You are comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• You are willing and able to work in various weather conditions, including inclement weather.
• You are a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and take initiative.
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
