Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a Supervisor Technical Manager to lead calibrations of measurement and test equipment across controlled laboratories and site facilities.

You will supervise represented staff, manage labs, prioritize and plan work, and ensure quality, safety, and radiological requirements are met while coordinating training and reporting metrics to stakeholders.

Job Description

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated Supervisor Technical Manager to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for directly supervising represented employees in the performance of calibrations of measurement and test equipment within controlled laboratories as well as throughout numerous site facilities. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aforementioned laboratories and associated equipment, and ensure work is effectively prioritized, planned and executed, and any work control documents (including quality of technical content and identification of ESH hazards and the means of mitigation) are complete prior to authorization. The successful candidate will also be required to develop and communicate metric data to effectively assess quality, cost and timelines of work performed, coordinate and /or administer training and development of the workforce to achieve and maintain knowledge proficiency, and ensure compliance with quality, environment, safety, health and radiological requirements. Strong communication skills are necessary for routine engagements with various site stakeholders for planning and execution of work. Teaming and validation are necessary to ensure work is adequately designed, resources allocated, and work is ready for execution.

Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• Proven supervisory experience, with the ability to lead teams through change in a positive and constructive manner.
• Experience with the operation and use of various types of thermal, pressure, and electronic measurement and test equipment (E.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, chart recorders, pressure transducers, gas detectors, thermocouples, etc.).
• Prior electrical and/or mechanical system testing experience.
• Familiarity with technical work documents and verbatim compliance execution of work.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proficient in the use of computer systems, software and databases.
• Good organization, planning and leadership skills with demonstrated experience.
• Active DOE/DOD security clearance.

Pay Range

$106,200.00 - $166,000.00 annually

Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
