Job summary

Nintendo of America Inc is seeking a supply chain leader to manage distribution and packaging staff and lead quality, efficiency, and budget-related initiatives. The role requires coaching, performance management, and cross-department coordination at an on-site North Bend, WA location.

The ideal candidate has several years of related experience, supervisory background, and strong MS Office/ERP proficiency, with a focus on warehouse operations and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of related experience preferred.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Strong organizational, coaching and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to delegate effectively to allow others to grow.
• Ability to identify, define, and analyze problems; use a problem-solving process.
• Ability to work with highly confidential and/or sensitive matters.
• Advanced MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• IBM iSeries and Oracle EBS knowledge preferred.
• Specialized training in automated warehouse packaging and distribution systems or equivalent preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures adherence to policies and quality standards.
• Drives innovations and measures workflow efficiency.
• Assists in budget planning and reports key metrics.
• Monitors performance and conducts semi-annual reviews.
• Resolves personnel issues with HR support.

Summary

Manages and provides leadership and guidance to supply chain personnel. Manages a team of distribution and packaging staff.

Description of Duties

• Forecasts and manages work volume, work schedules, and staffing levels to ensure business needs are met, acts as liaison with other departments.
• Sets goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with the company’s/departments plans and vision. Identifies strengths and weaknesses within team members and delegates projects and tasks accordingly.
• Ensures incoming and/or outgoing shipments are accurately received, tracked and transferred.
• Investigates and/or resolves freight discrepancies and issues.
• May oversee automated & manually production lines and/or pick/pack assembly lines.
• Manages complex projects and demonstrates situational adaptability with fluctuating deadlines.
• Ensures tasks are being performed by staff according to training, safety and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines.
• Ensures company policies and established guidelines are followed for task completion, including meeting quality, efficiency, and accuracy standards. Facilitates quick and appropriate resolution of any and all challenges, discrepancies or miscommunications.
• Drives innovation within the team, and develops methods for gathering metrics and workflow analysis to improve quality and efficiencies.
• Applies understanding of basic business finance, including ability to identify and quantify key drivers, develop, measure and report key metrics; assists manager in fiscal year budget planning.
• Monitors and evaluates performance of team and assesses staff for the semi-annual review process.
• Coordinates with Manager and Human Resource representatives to resolve personnel/performance issues for assigned staff (coaching, documentation, etc.).
• Responsible for hiring decisions of hourly personnel and makes recommendations to manager for salary level.

• Ability to identify, define, and analyze problems; use a problem‑solving process; develop decision‑making strategies; generate potential solutions; judge and evaluate results; choose and implement solutions (Plan–Do–Check–Act).
• Ability to work with highly confidential and/or sensitive matters.
• Advanced MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Power Point); IBM iSeries and Oracle EBS Applications knowledge preferred.
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Manufacturing, a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Specialized training in automated warehouse packaging and distribution systems or equivalent preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

This position includes the base pay range listed below, potential for a semi‑annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off. Pay Range: $82,000—$131,200 USD
