Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks a Supervisor for Supply Chain to oversee daily operational activities of supply chain associates, including inventory management and receiving.

The role leads the team, trains and coaches staff, creates work schedules, and collaborates with hospital leadership to ensure high-quality service and achievement of system and department goals. Experience in logistics, inventory control, and supervisory leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education includes high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of supply chain operations experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational activities of supply chain associates in inventory management and receiving.
• Represent Supply Chain with hospital leadership in the absence of the Supply Chain Manager.
• Train, coach, and supervise Supply Chain Associate I & II.
• Create and maintain a work schedule to meet hospital needs.
• Contribute to high-quality service and achievement of department goals.

The TC will represent Supply Chain with the respective hospital leadership in conjunction and in the absence of the Supply Chain Manager. Trains, coaches, mentors and supervises all Supply Chain Associate I & II. Creates and maintains a work schedule for Supply Chain Associates that ensures hospital needs are met as it related to the distribution of products managed under Supply Chain. Responsible for the delivery of high-quality services that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Assist in the training and development of a highly motivated team that work efficiently and effectively in providing services to hospital departments and operating centers. Act as department lead when necessary. Achieve system, hospital and departmental goals and objectives.
