Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Miami is seeking a dedicated security professional to support the administration by ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, guests, and employees. The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of security experience, preferably in a hospital setting, along with a High School diploma and Basic Life Support certification. This position requires working knowledge of computers and completion of security training programs within the first 90 days.

Qualifications

• Certification in Basic Life Support is required.
• Must complete BHSF security training and Basic Life Safety certification within 90 days.

Job description

The purpose of this position is to support the administration of Baptist Health South Florida and its divisions by ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, guests, and employees, and maintaining the peaceful and orderly operation of business and its facilities.

Estimated pay range: $25.37 - $30.70 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, certificate, GED, or equivalent training/experience.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Florida driver's license.
• Minimum of 4 years of security experience (hospital setting preferred).
• Associate degree preferred.
• Must complete BHSF security training program and supplemental classes within 90 days of employment.
• Working knowledge of personal computers and software.
• Must complete Basic Life Safety certification within 90 days from start of employment.
• Perform backup duties to security manager and/or director as required.
