Job summary

Providence Swedish seeks a Security leadership professional to oversee the Security Department's workflow, ensuring quality service and a safe environment at Swedish Ballard in Seattle.

You will lead incident responses, conduct interviews and investigations while guiding a team to uphold strict standards in alignment with our mission and values. This role is full-time, day shift, on-site in Seattle.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent is required for healthcare security roles.
• FEMA Level 100 or higher certification is required upon hire.
• Driving may be necessary; valid driver license and auto insurance may be requested.

Oversees and maintains the flow and balance of work in the Security Department. Responsible for providing leadership, direction, and a working environment that promotes teamwork and customer satisfaction, and for ensuring that the standards of service are met for the Security department in a manner consistent with SMC's/EDM's mission, vision and values. Persons holding this position must be able to perform all of the duties and functions of a Security Officer, including initial incident response, interviewing and investigations.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree or equivalent or two years of related training and experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in healthcare security
• Upon hire: FEMA Level 100 or higher certification
• Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Basic Security Officer Certification and Supervisory Development Certification through International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety
• 2 years of related experience and/or training desired, preferably in Healthcare Security and Safety
