This job involves planning patient care, providing and managing care to individuals and groups of patients within a unit. It includes designing, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions by coordinating, delegating, and supervising the healthcare team, including licensed nurses, patient care technicians, and other health professionals. The role also involves facilitating effective discharge planning, serving as a communication link between the Unit Director, staff, patients, physicians, and others, and acting as a resource for patient care assessment and nursing interventions. The nurse will collaborate with supervisory staff to assess care quality, identify staff strengths and weaknesses, and evaluate performance, acting as a liaison between staff and nursing resources. The role requires responsible management of human, environmental, and material resources.

Education
Required - Registered nurse diploma
Preferred - Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing
Work Experience
Required - 2 years relevant experience in a fast-paced, stressful environment
Certifications
Required - Current RN License in the state of practice
Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
