Founded in 1938, Wilcox Medical Center is a not-for-profit medical center dedicated to providing the Kaua‘i community with accessible quality health care. The Respiratory Therapy team partners with health care professionals across the continuum of care to provide quality therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care for our patients with acute or chronic cardiopulmonary disorders. Our certified respiratory therapists are specialized in both cardiac and pulmonary nursing and medicine, and work with patients to improve lung function through exercises, special medications and the use of oxygen equipment. This experienced team incorporates evidence-based practice and state-of-the-art technologies in their practice to improve patient experience while at our hospitals and clinics.
As the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, you will play an important leadership role in managing the day-to-day operations of the department including scheduling and assignment of department workload and acting as a all around resource. We are looking for someone proactive and responsible, with strong communications and planning skills and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawaii.

Current Hawaii Respiratory Therapy license. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within one (1) year of hire. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) CPR cards. Three (3) years respiratory care or related experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field. Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Supervisory or lead experience.
