Job summary

Mercy seeks a Director of Inpatient Rehab to lead and coordinate rehabilitation services across Acute Therapy Departments. You will supervise staff, ensure compliance with state, federal and local regulations, and uphold Mercy’s mission and service standards.

This role shapes patient care quality and operational efficiency. Under Medical Director and Department Manager guidance, you’ll drive clinical excellence, staff development, and evidence-based practices within a compassionate healthcare

Qualifications

• Licensed professionals must hold current licensure in state of practice (OT/SLP/PT).
• Master's or Doctorate preferred.
• Three years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates and supervises rehabilitation procedures in the Acute Therapy Departments.
• Ensures services meet medical center standards and regulatory requirements.
• Leads staff in alignment with Mercy mission and service standards.

Overview

Directs, coordinates and supervises the delivery of rehabilitation procedures in the Acute Therapy Departments and the activities of personnel involved in providing these services. Under the supervision of the Medical Director and the Manager of the Department of Inpatient Rehab, is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with Medical Center standards, and state, federal and local regulations. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values and mercy service standards.

Position Details

• Education: Bachelor's in Physical Therapy
• Licensure: Must be a licensed Occupational Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist, or Physical Therapist with a current license in state of practice.
• Experience:
• Certifications: Registered Occupational Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist, or Physical Therapist. CPR Certified
• Other:
• Preferred Education: Master's or Doctorate degree
• Preferred Experience: Three years of clinical experience preferred
