Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Mon - Fri 0630-1500. No weekends, no holidays.
Major Responsibilities:
- Oversees and directs the operations of assigned department(s), ensuring resource use, workforce efficiency, and department maintenance.
- Ensures delivery of comprehensive nursing care, collaborating with providers and health professionals, maintaining current standards through courses, journals, and certifications.
- Develops, implements, and updates policies and procedures related to department operations.
- Upholds Clinic policies, Behaviors of Excellence, and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Manages daily operations, encourages process improvements, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Participates in hiring, corrective actions, and terminations with department manager and HR.
- Maintains adequate staffing, utilizing cross-training, and adjusts workloads; may provide direct patient care.
- Coordinates OR schedules and staff to optimize efficiency and surgeon workflow.
- Facilitates team problem-solving and conflict resolution using service recovery standards.
- Adheres to safety practices, reports and resolves safety concerns, and participates in safety initiatives.
- Oversees equipment and system maintenance.
- Communicates effectively with staff via meetings and huddles, and participates in process improvements.
Administrative Accountabilities:
- Prepares and evaluates department reports (budgets, financial statements, etc.).
- Maintains organized records and ensures compliance with regulations.
- Coordinates meetings and communicates with leadership.
- Serves on committees and performs additional duties as assigned.
Training and Development:
- Creates a learning environment, provides orientation and training, and assesses staff competencies.
- Performs performance reviews, supports ongoing development, and acts as a resource for staff.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience and 2 years leadership or supervisory experience.
- Current RN license in Illinois, CPR, ACLS, PALS (if applicable).
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and management skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and EMR systems.
- Ability to prioritize, judge, and organize effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Must pass physical and lift tests, able to travel, and flexible with scheduling.
Pay Range:
$40.30 - $60.45
