The Supervisor, Quality Engineering is both a leadership and hands‑on QE role with excellent relationship management skills needed to supervise the daily operations of Software Quality Engineering team members. The position collaborates with multiple IT stakeholders to ensure functional and nonfunctional testing across workstreams, reducing business interruptions and regulatory risks for IEHP.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Software Quality Engineering team, managing daily activities and performance. • Build test design and strategies with subject matter experts, ensuring full coverage of impacted applications during major system enhancements and new projects. • Lead testing efforts for functional, API, integration, data integrity, regression, security, and performance testing. • Continuously improve testing processes by applying Agile, DevOps, and process‑improvement methodologies such as LEAN.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of recent experience with test automation tools and processes.
• Experience performing heavy data validation and ETL process testing.
• Experience with SQL query writing and scripting automated test cases.
• Experience in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Preferred: Prior development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Strong comprehensive knowledge and understanding of:
  • Current business practices and computing systems, IT development methodologies, and operations.
  • Health payer data.
  • Healthcare industry standard message EDI formats such as HL7, X12, NCPDP, HIPAA, and related formats.
  • Multiple automation frameworks and the ability to learn new ones quickly.
  • Agile and DevOps processes.
  • Process‑improvement methodologies such as LEAN.
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong logical reasoning, business intelligence, and creative thinking to optimize test approaches.
• Ability to perform API testing using ReadyAPI/SoapUI/Postman and automate APIs.
• Ability to present to senior management and work collaboratively in an inclusive environment.
• Ability to identify and resolve conflicts among team members and prioritize tasks in a high‑pressure environment.

Pay Range

• $135,200.00 USD annually – $179,129.60 USD annually
