DESCRIPTION

The Detail Associate assists the Detail Supervisor in planning and scheduling daily and weekly vehicle movement within established estimated completion times (ETC) and supports the supervisor in resolving issues such as staging, damages, warranty claims, quality control, and C‑TPAT compliance. The role maintains up‑to‑date records related to health and safety, implements Kaizen methods, and ensures compliance with OSHA, HAZMAT, and environmental regulations.

• Assist with short‑term planning of workload, vehicle storage, facility, equipment improvement, and staffing needs.
• Assist in planning and coordinating vehicle movement within the storage facility.
• Supervise and monitor quality control processes and apply Kaizen methods for improvement.
• Maintain accurate and updated health and safety records.
• Develop safety standards and procedures to prevent vehicle damage and staff injury, complying with OSHA, HAZMAT, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and submit accident reports, TQCN reports, dealer delivery and condition reports.
• Help the Detail Supervisor with work orders to ensure accuracy and organization by priority.
• Provide backup to the Detail Supervisor during absences, including morning meetings, shop preparation, dispatching, payroll, and other duties.
• Support a safe and organized workplace.
• Perform other duties as requested.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school graduate or equivalent. Associate degree in Automotive Body and Paint or Auto Technology preferred.
• Minimum two to three years of automotive or detailing work experience.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience in production and quality control.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card.
• HAZMAT certification preferred.
• Knowledgeable of production and quality control activities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Oracle knowledge preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to operate standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
