Job summary

Hollingsworth Auto Service Inc. is seeking a Detailer to support production, prep vehicles for delivery, and ensure final cleanup of completed work. You will assist with maintenance of the production area, communicate issues, and help maintain shop flow.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, 6+ months of experience, and the ability to obtain necessary certifications. A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential to succeed in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare repaired vehicles for delivery.
• Thoroughly clean vehicles inside and out and install trim as needed.

• Update the WIP board as necessary.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe shop and workflow.

Position Overview

The detailer is responsible for assisting production employees with their work, assisting with maintenance of production area, and for final clean-up of vehicles prior to delivery

Accountability

The Detailer reports to the Production Manager

Essential Job Functions

• Prepare repaired vehicles for delivery
• Thoroughly clean repaired vehicles inside and out. Install any trim or cosmetic items as needed
• Address paint imperfections under supervision of Painter (buffing, denibbing, wet sanding, runs, etc…)
• Complete vehicle QC forms and communicate any issues to the Production Manager, Body Tech and/or Estimator (warning lights, paint issues, fit issues, etc…)
• Update the WIP board as necessary

Additional Job Functions

• Assist in the smooth flow of work through the shop
• Maintain work area in clean and safe condition
• Keep Production Manager aware of work status
• Alert the Painter and/or Production Manager to any unusual problems or additional work needed on a vehicle
• Help port vehicles to and from sublet vendors
• Help keep the production areas clean and free of clutter
• Detailer will assist production employees whenever possible
