General Profile

Essential Functions

  • Defines and specifies activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for materials, components, or products.
  • Builds and maintains the infrastructure and systems to ensure the timely delivery of quality products.
  • Identifies and addresses issues with equipment performance.
  • Audits, monitors, and determines the quality of manufacturing processes and outputs against internal and regulatory standards.
  • Reports and troubleshoots manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods.
  • Conducts tests on materials or samples to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2‑5 years’ experience OR equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred education and experience: Associate’s Degree.
  • Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred.
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Technical expertise; ability to identify and seek needed information; research skills; problem‑solving skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires regular movement throughout GD‑OTS facilities.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work may require operating machinery inside and outside with exposure to changing climate.
  • May be requested to work a different shift.
  • Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
  • This position is Safety‑Sensitive.

Travel Requirements

  • Requires regular movement throughout GD‑OTS facilities.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
