Job Summary

Follows policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations | Follows and/or develops, assures and maintains the quality of products and processes through standard procedures & systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 & AS9100 standards), quality audits/ review process, etc. Responsibilities are within the Quality Assurance Methods Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.

Essential Functions
  • Defines and specifies activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for materials, components, or products.
  • Builds and maintains the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products.
  • Identifies and addresses any issues with equipment performance.
  • Audits, monitors, and determines the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards.
  • Reports and troubleshoots manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods.
  • Conducts tests on materials or samples to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Proficient in CMM operation and basic programming, with GD&T understanding and ability to perform precise dimensional inspections to verify part accuracy.
Required Qualifications
  • Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2‑5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Technical expertise. Ability to identify and seek needed information. Research skills. Problem‑solving skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD‑OTS facilities.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • May be requested to work a different shift.
  • Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
  • This position is Safety‑Sensitive.
